Day 172 Training Tool

What have you been doing this week? I’ve been grounded. My report card was so bad that I hid it from my parents. Then the school mailed another one. I was at my grandmother’s house, and my dad came and got me. I can’t do guitar lessons or hang out with my friends or go on the computer. I’m grounded from the internet. How long are you grounded for? Until my grades get better. Are you studying hard? Yeah. I have no choice. That’s the only thing I can do now. I have to study. What are you doing here today? Every two months I come here with my family. I like it. We feed people who are homeless or who have been in jail. I serve and help make food. What classes are you taking at school? Uh, English, world history, art, earth and environmental science, Algebra 1, PE, and health. Is there anything that you would like to say to kids in other countries? Don’t do drugs. I’ve seen people do drugs, and it’s bad. Study hard.

이번 주에 무엇을 하고 있었나요? 저는 외출 금지 상태였어요. 성적표가 너무 나빠서 부모님께 숨겼어요. 학교에서 하나를 더 우편으로 보냈어요. 할머니 집에 있었는데 아빠가 와서 데려갔어요. 기타 수업도 못 하고 친구도 못 만나고 컴퓨터도 못 해요. 인터넷도 금지예요. 얼마 동안이에요? 성적이 좋아질 때까지요. 열심히 공부하고 있나요? 네. 선택의 여지가 없어요. 지금 할 수 있는 건 그것뿐이에요. 공부해야 해요. 오늘 여기서 뭐 하고 있어요? 두 달에 한 번 가족과 와요. 저는 좋아요. 노숙자나 감옥에 있었던 사람들에게 음식을 줘요. 서빙도 하고 음식 만드는 것도 도와요. 학교에서 어떤 수업 들어요? 영어, 세계사, 미술, 지구 및 환경과학, 대수학 1, 체육, 보건이에요. 다른 나라 아이들에게 할 말 있나요? 마약 하지 마세요. 마약하는 걸 봤는데 나빠요. 열심히 공부하세요.
